After the obvious failure of the regime to bar Golden Dawn from running in the elections, we started noticing that a second plan was set in motion. Before we analyze this plan it's well worth to take a look on the Greek national elections of 1961, that were remembered by history as the "elections of violence and fraud".
The main two parties of these elections were the National Radical Union, the conservative party that was ruling Greece ever since 1956, and the Centre Union-Progressive Party. The NRU used the police and agents in plain clothing to intimidate voters into not support the CU-PP. Additionally the NRU manipulated the results of the elections with all kinds of fraud, with the most known example being the event of 218 policemen registering to vote using the same address of a single-story house in Athens. The elections were so fraudulent to the point it was said that "even the trees voted in these elections". The NRU came to end after the coup de etat of 1967.
New Democracy, the spiritual successor of the NRU and the main conservative party of Greece today, carries on the tradition. We have seen the use of violence from both the police and their masked friends, the Antifa, in many instances since 2012. The latest event was last week, when several candidates for the municipal elections and their supporters have been attacked when Antifas entered and wrecked the "Greek Dawn" offices of Glyfada. The arrests of our comrades, the unsolvable murders of Giorgos and Manos, the confiscation of our materials and cancellation of the constitutionally enforced subsidy we are entitled to (using a vote that the government itself voted mere days after the arrests) are reminiscent of the tactics employed by the NRU and their agents.

Abstinence in these elections might not be as high as the numbers tell us. In regards to the upcoming elections, almost half of the deceased of the past eight months, around 30.000, are yet to be removed from the voter registries. Additionally, of the 9.890.854 registered votes, almost 2.300.000 are over 70 and voting isn't mandatory for them. If we add to that number the 1.000.000 registered Greeks of the diaspora that is doubtful whether they are going to vote, the real percentage of abstinence is significantly lower that the number we see in relevant research.Aside the fact that there are 30.000 dead Greeks in the voter registries, there is a very important detail they won't comment on. According to the census of 2011, the population of Greece is 10.815.197 people. The registered voters are 9.890.854 which means that the number of people that are unable to vote (foreigners AND minors) are just 924,343, which seems to be quite a paradox. It appears as if New Democracy is bent on replicating the elections of 1961, in Golden Dawn's expense. However Golden Dawn is prepared! With the slogan "Everyone representing" we aim to fill every voting center with our election representatives that will be trained to combat any event of fraud and intimidation. Every Greek will fight in the battlefield of the elections and send New Democracy to their political grave.
P.S. Pictured above is New Democracy's MP, Eleutherios Kalogiannis. In 1985, during the elections for the president of the Republic, he kidnapped one of the ballot boxes and took it to his party's offices.
